'into the mystic'

The Barbican is hosting a 'new folk' festival... There is a free stage on Saturday 4th Feb which will feature Fence Collective people and others, plus a 'proper' concert at night by King Creosote, Vashti Bunyan and others.

Slightly embarassed by 'new folk' tag, as still dimly remember 'old folk', and I am surely not the only adult traumatised by early memories of village halls full of men in hand knitted jumpers and women singing 'blanket on the ground'.

However, I admit there's a fascination there too... only time will tell if it was a good decision to bring my electro-loving friend along with me.
