leave symmetry to the cemetery

"What do the people want of the place?
They want it to be filled with thinking persons as open and adventurous as its architecture.
A nest of fearties is what they do not want.
A symposium of procrastinators is what they do not want.
A phalanx of forelock-tuggers is what they do not want.
And perhaps above all the droopy mantra of ‘it wizny me’ is what they do not want."

It seems to me that this is a much better ideal of democracy than the bastardized version Bush is forcing on Iraq.

sifting elvis

I was looking through some boxes today and found this image. It was already on the wall of my room when I moved into a Dens Road flat in Dundee. It matched the yellow walls.

aurora alopex

In every car hangs a cardboard tree,
pine odour pours out of our passing window.
An urban fox knows what he sees,
and smells acid on the curving breeze.
